About this site

This site showcases travel experiences and packages and lets you contact an advisor. It is not an automated booking platform: it does not issue tickets or confirm availability on its own.

What sending a request means

When you send a request, you are asking for a quote or for a package to be arranged. A request does not confirm availability, does not book any service and is not a payment. You will receive a code and a private link to check its status at any time.

A trip is confirmed only when an advisor sends you, in writing, what is included, the final price and each provider’s terms, and you accept them.

Prices, validity and changes

Published prices are estimates, are shown in the currency listed for each experience and depend on dates, the number of travelers and provider availability. Each package shows its validity period; after that date, the price no longer applies.

Change, cancellation and refund policies for each service are set by the airline, hotel or operator that provides it. Opulent provides them in writing before you confirm and pay; how they apply is explained under “Cancellations, changes and refunds.”

Liability

Opulent acts as a travel agency: it organizes and arranges tourism services provided by third parties, such as hotels, airlines, local tour operators and transportation companies. Opulent is responsible to you for providing the services described in the itinerary you accepted in writing, and for their quality, in accordance with that itinerary, Colombian Law 300 of 1996, Decree 1074 of 2015 and the Consumer Protection Statute.

  • Air travel. Opulent is not responsible for air transportation services, except for flights chartered by the agency. Air travel is governed by aviation regulations and each airline’s terms. Restrictions on changes, endorsements or refunds for each ticket are explained to you before purchase.
  • Force majeure and unforeseeable events. Opulent is not liable for events beyond its control that prevent or change the trip, such as accidents, strikes, civil unrest, earthquakes, weather or natural events, health emergencies or government decisions. In those cases, we will help you find alternatives and pursue any applicable refunds from providers.
  • Itinerary changes. When necessary for the trip to run smoothly, or for the reasons above, Opulent may replace hotels, transportation, schedules or the order of activities with others of the same or similar category, notifying you in advance. If a change significantly alters what you accepted and you do not agree, you may cancel and receive the applicable refund under the next section.
  • Travel documents and conduct. You must carry the documents required by each destination (see “Travel documents”). Opulent is not liable if boarding, a visa or entry into a country is denied, or if a traveler is removed from a service because of their conduct; in those cases, only the amount the provider refunds will be returned.
  • Baggage and personal belongings. Travelers are responsible for their belongings; during transportation, the carrier is responsible under its own terms.
  • Cancellations, changes and refunds

    • Before you confirm. Sending a request or receiving a quote is free and doesn’t commit you to anything. You can withdraw your request at any time.
    • After you confirm and pay. Each service is subject to its provider’s cancellation policy (deadlines, penalties and nonrefundable services), which is set out in your written proposal before payment. If you cancel, Opulent processes the refund and returns to you whatever each provider refunds. If the proposal includes an agency service fee, the fee and whether it is refundable are stated in writing before payment.
    • Cancellation or interruption for reasons beyond the agency’s control. If the trip is canceled before it begins or interrupted due to force majeure, the traveler’s illness, denial of a visa or entry, or any other cause not attributable to Opulent, we will refund the unused services that providers reimburse, deducting only nonrecoverable costs that were disclosed to you.
    • Failure by the agency. If Opulent fails to provide a confirmed service for reasons attributable to it, we will, at your choice, refund what you paid for that service or provide a replacement of the same or higher category, without affecting your rights under Law 300 of 1996 and the Consumer Protection Statute.
    • Right of withdrawal. If you purchased remotely (through this site, email or WhatsApp), you may withdraw from the purchase in the cases and within the time limits set out in Article 47 of Colombian Law 1480 of 2011. When this right applies, we will refund your money within 15 calendar days (Law 2439 of 2024). Airline tickets are also subject to the rules of Colombia’s Civil Aviation Authority (Aerocivil).
    • Timing and method. Refunds are issued no later than 30 calendar days after your request (Decree 1074 of 2015), unless the law sets a shorter period, using the original payment method or another method agreed upon in writing.
    • How to request a refund. Contact us through “Requests, Complaints and Claims” or at our contact email, and include your request code.

Preventing the sexual exploitation of children

In compliance with Article 17 of Colombian Law 679 of 2001 and Law 1336 of 2009, Opulent informs travelers that the sexual exploitation and abuse of minors in Colombia are punishable under criminal and administrative law. Opulent rejects all forms of exploitation and will report any case to the authorities. Colombian law also penalizes the illegal trade in wildlife and plants (Law 17 of 1981) and in cultural heritage property (Law 1185 of 2008).

    Travel documents

Travelers are responsible for their passports, visas, vaccinations and exit permits for minors. We share what we know about each destination, but entry requirements are ultimately set by the authorities of the country you are visiting.

Your account and use of this site

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential. You can review, correct or delete your data from My profile. Automated data scraping and impersonating another person are prohibited.
